Life in the Jungle

About 2 months ago, my life got way more complicated. Our son and his family moved into our house, and we moved into our office! It's a good thing we have a big office, in separate buildings, and we remodeled one room into a bedroom. We live in the mountains, in a retreat setting. Well, the retreat just got a bit noisier.

But what a joy to walk into the house and be greeted by a friendly hello from a 3-year-old and a huge smile from a baby sitting on the floor. And some days we get treated to dinner cooked by our wonderful daughter-in-law. This I could get used to.

We are finding that the proximity is especially helpful in our business, which we all work on together. At first we were working between Julian, CA and Madison, WI. This is much better.

Before they came, the most troubling thought I often had was "how will I ever get close to those grandkids?" OK, that's answered. Now what challenge can I take on?
